Spotify Introduces AI Audiobook Publishing Tool with ElevenLabs
Spotify is preparing to launch a new AI powered audiobook creation tool in June 2025 that allows authors to self publish English language audiobooks through Spotify for Authors. The feature is being developed in partnership with ElevenLabs and will initially be available in beta through an invite only system with a non exclusive model for creators.

The new system uses ElevenLabs voice synthesis technology to generate audiobook narration. This removes the need for traditional recording studios or professional voice actors. Authors will be able to create and distribute audiobooks more easily while retaining the freedom to publish their work on other platforms.

Along with the AI tool Spotify is expanding its Spotify for Authors platform into ten additional languages. These include French, German, Spanish, Swedish and several Nordic languages.
